Revolut has announced the European launch of its new service, Revolut Mobile, offering unlimited voice calls, text messages, and domestic data, along with generous international roaming packages. For example, UK customers will receive 20 GB of roaming data to use across the EU and the US, all without being tied to a long-term contract.
The service is initially being rolled out in two pilot markets – the United Kingdom and Germany. Revolut users in these countries can now join a waitlist to gain early access and take advantage of a promotional rate of £12.50/€12.50 per month.
Customers will be able to keep their existing mobile number and transfer it to the new plan, or they can opt for a new number provided by Revolut.
Revolut Mobile follows the success of Revolut’s eSIM data plans, which were launched in 2024. These virtual SIMs have since been used to activate millions of data packages in over 100 countries worldwide. eSIMs have quickly become one of Revolut’s most popular non-banking features.
With the launch of mobile plans, Revolut is entering the traditional telecom market, positioning itself as a disruptor to conventional mobile operators. Across Europe, consumers often face high roaming fees (as seen in the UK) or some of the most expensive mobile plans on the continent (such as in Germany). Revolut wants to change that.
Once launched, Revolut customers will be able to activate their plan in minutes through the Revolut app, either with a new Revolut number or by porting over their current one. The plans will be deeply integrated into the Revolut app, offering a more seamless and intuitive user experience than traditional providers, with real-time plan tracking and usage controls.
“The success of our eSIM service proves the telecom industry is ready for disruption,” said Hadi Nasrallah, General Manager, Telco & Retail Director at Revolut. “European consumers suffer from poor telecom offers, unclear contracts, hidden fees, high prices, and painful customer experiences. We’re here to fix all of that—bringing technology-driven, flexible solutions with no contractual strings attached. This is the next chapter of Revolut’s journey into telecom—an industry that desperately needs innovation.”
The Revolut Mobile Plans will be officially launched in the UK and Germany later this year, with expansion to additional European markets to follow. They will become part of Revolut’s broader lifestyle and travel ecosystem, which helps users manage finances, book accommodations, and stay connected while traveling.
Through the Revolut app, users can book from 1.9 million hotels, homes, and guesthouses, access 300,000 local experiences, stay in touch via eSIM in over 100 countries, and—depending on their plan—enjoy airport lounge access. Standard eSIM and lounge terms apply.
