COMPANIESPwC Poland's M&A Team Tops Rankings for Transaction Volume and Value in 2024

For the sixth consecutive year, PwC Poland’s Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team has secured the top spot among transaction advisors in Poland, both in terms of the number of completed transactions and their total value, according to the 2024 M&A rankings by UK-based portal Mergermarket. Additionally, the team achieved podium finishes in the global and EMEA regional categories. Under the leadership of Adam Demusiak and Marcin Byrt, the team successfully closed 19 transactions in Poland with a total value exceeding PLN 8.5 billion.

“This marks the sixth year in a row that we’ve led in transaction volume in Poland. In 2024, we also achieved a double win by topping the ranking for transaction value (for publicly disclosed transactions), which is an immense honor for us. I’d like to thank our clients—both entrepreneurs and private equity funds—for their trust, and our teams for their fantastic work throughout 2024,” said Adam Demusiak, Partner at PwC Poland, Management Board Member, and Head of M&A.

Supporting Industry Leaders Amid Market Challenges

Despite a volatile macroeconomic and geopolitical environment, PwC Poland’s M&A team successfully supported numerous Polish entrepreneurs and industry leaders in securing financial and strategic partners over the past year. Notable clients included AHP (healthcare), NTFY (dietary catering), CGH (engineering and manufacturing services), MJM (insurance brokerage), and Sescom (facility management).

“We’re thrilled to have assisted so many businesses in navigating challenges and achieving growth. Looking ahead, 2025 promises to be a dynamic year for Poland’s M&A market. Key trends include the energy transition, IT sector development (particularly technology growth), financial services (especially insurance brokers), and healthcare,” added Marcin Byrt, Partner at PwC Poland’s M&A team.

PwC Poland’s consistent leadership in M&A underscores its expertise and ability to deliver value in a rapidly evolving market. With a strong pipeline and focus on emerging sectors, the firm is well-positioned to navigate and shape the M&A landscape in Poland in the years to come.
