Provident Polska has now joined the ranks of National Payment Institutions. Up until now, Provident, with its Provi Smart card in its portfolio, already held a Small Payment Institution license.

Provident Polska, as a modern company, is constantly expanding its product portfolio, adapting it to changes in the market and always listening to the needs of its customers, striving to meet them in the best possible way. The company’s growth is also based on market research and careful observation of trends. The idea to include cards as well as traditional loans in the company’s portfolio emerged back in 2015. In 2022, the company secured entry to the register of payment service providers and issuers of electronic money managed by the Financial Supervision Commission, thus being granted the status of a Small Payment Institution, which enabled it to expand its offering with the Provi Smart credit card.

“The introduction of the Provi Smart card into our offering was a bullseye. We offered a card product in response to the changing needs of customers, who turned out to be very interested in this type of product. So far, we have sold nearly 200,000 cards,” emphasizes Marcin Å»uchowski, CEO of Provident Polska. “Before entering this new market segment, we conducted numerous researches and analyses, so we are not surprised by the popularity of our cards. Soon after introducing this product, we started applying for a National Payment Institution license. Obtaining it will let us spread our wings even more in providing payment solutions to our customers,” adds Å»uchowski.

The permission to provide payment services as a National Payment Institution is issued by the Financial Supervision Commission in the form of an administrative decision. To obtain such a permission, a company must meet a series of regulatory and corporate requirements, including those related to stable management.

“Obtaining permission to provide payment services as a National Payment Institution is a confirmation of the quality of our products and the transparency and high standards represented by our company,” summarizes Marcin Å»uchowski.
