cyber_Folks Group, together with Sylius and BitBag, has completed the acquisition of 100% of PrestaShop—one of the world’s largest open-source e-commerce platforms. The transaction marks a major milestone in cyber_Folks’ strategy to build an integrated, pan-European e-commerce technology ecosystem.
Following the acquisition, the combined annual gross merchandise value (GMV) supported by solutions developed within the Group rises to approximately €35 billion, while the total number of customers served exceeds 700,000 worldwide.
Completing the ecosystem
cyber_Folks’ strategy is based on integrating all the key technology layers required to run online sales—ranging from infrastructure and hosting, through store platforms, ERP integrations, payments and logistics, to communication, marketing automation, and data management systems.
PrestaShop brings 230,000 active stores to the Group and around €22 billion in annual GMV, along with a strong position in Western Europe—particularly in France, Spain, and Italy.
“Within a few years, we’ve evolved from a local company into a European leader in e-commerce technology, serving 700,000 businesses. However, acquiring PrestaShop is not merely a scale-driven acquisition. It is the missing piece that completes our ecosystem architecture—both geographically and in terms of product coverage. We are building an environment where merchants can grow their business within one coherent technology model, from the first sale to international scale,” says Jakub Dwernicki, CEO of cyber_Folks.
After the transaction, the Group covers the full spectrum of the market:
- Shoper – SMB segment
- PrestaShop – SMB and mid-market in an open-source model
- Sylius – mid-market and enterprise in an open-source model
- cyber_Folks, Apilo and SellRocket solutions – integrations, automation, communications, and infrastructure
Synergies and the growth model
Integrating PrestaShop strengthens the Group in three areas: scale and data, the ability to cross-sell high-margin services, and geographic diversification. Even today, around half of PrestaShop stores in Poland use cyber_Folks hosting—demonstrating the natural potential for deeper service integration.
The Group’s business model is based on recurring revenues and a pay-as-you-grow mechanism: as customers’ GMV increases, cyber_Folks’ revenues rise accordingly.
“We are expanding the global customer base to which we can offer hosting, integrations, communication solutions, and AI products. It’s a model in which the growth of merchants’ operations naturally translates into higher revenues and cash flows for us,” says Robert Stasik, Vice President of the Management Board and CFO of cyber_Folks.
The ecosystem’s integrated nature, combined with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, supports higher retention. Long-term customer relationships and the uniqueness of the business model provide, on the one hand, a defensive profile, and on the other, strong growth potential driven by the Group’s continuously expanding customer base.
The next phase
As of 18 February 2026, cyber_Folks—together with Sylius and BitBag—is the 100% owner of PrestaShop. The key priorities now are operational integration and the delivery of cross-sell and up-sell synergies. The transaction was completed after obtaining the required regulatory approvals and was financed through a combination of internal funds and debt financing.
“We are expanding the global customer base to which we can offer hosting, integrations, communication solutions, and AI products. It’s a model in which the growth of merchants’ operations naturally translates into higher revenues and cash flows for us,” Robert Stasik adds.
