79% of Polish respondents declare job stability, a result that is 5 percentage points higher than the global average – according to the ManpowerGroup “Global Talent Barometer 2024” report. A whopping 92% of those surveyed from the country on the Vistula claim to have the necessary skills and experience needed to perform their job. The analysis also shows that significantly more men than women from Generation Z believe that there are enough opportunities for promotion or change in their organization.
The data from the latest ManpowerGroup publication show that the indicators for Polish employees are higher than the world average in all areas examined by the Job Stability Index. Domestic talents declare greater access to relevant technologies and tools (87%), and also more often report that they have sufficient opportunities to obtain new qualifications (76%). “Global Talent Barometer 2024” is a tool used to measure key parameters affecting wellbeing, job satisfaction and self-confidence in the workplace. The study relating to the index is based on four guidelines: career development, promotion opportunities, experience & skills and access to technologies & tools.
“The Stability Index in Poland signals a positive situation in the labor market. However, organizations should take active measures to maintain and raise this level. Investments in career development, equal opportunities, as well as access to technology are key areas that can enhance the sense of stability among employees,” says Marta SzymaĆska, leader of specialization in Manpower.
In the face of dynamic market and technological changes, it is worth building a work environment that allows employees to develop and adapt to new challenges, says Szymanska. She highlights that the contemporary labor market requires companies to actively support the development of team members’ competencies.
So, how to effectively implement new technologies at various positions?
âAdvanced technologies are developing at a fast pace, and 87% of respondents confirm that they have access to the appropriate tools. However, 76% of customer service workers declare that they have such solutions, while in the group of specialists and managers this rate was 93%,â points out SzymaĆska. She emphasizes that the challenges associated with implementing new technologies differ depending on the position.
Investing in skills is the key to success
According to the Global Talent Barometer data, 76% of respondents from Poland declare that their workplace provides sufficient opportunities for raising qualifications. Modern technologies are the foundation of efficiency, but to fully utilize them, employees need access to appropriate training.
Promoting equality and inclusiveness in organizations is also important. For example, while 60% of employees see opportunities for promotion, there are significant differences – 86% of Generation Z men declare access to such chances, while among women the percentage is only 46%. That is why, among other things, companies should introduce flexible forms of employment, transparent promotion rules and unconscious bias training. Creating support groups for employees contributes to building an open and supportive work environment. The dynamic business world rewards those who can adapt to changes and actively support their employees, concludes SzymaĆska.
