Polish cultural institutions generated PLN 9.64 billion in revenue in the first half of 2026, an increase of 8.3% year on year. Costs rose faster, however, increasing 9% to PLN 8.92 billion.
As a result, the sector’s net financial result increased by only 1.2% to PLN 716.6 million. The figures show that higher income is being partly absorbed by rising operating expenses.
Investment spending grew much more strongly, indicating that institutions continued to expand or modernise infrastructure despite pressure on current costs.
