SECURITYPolish Army to Receive Nearly 250 New Multi-Stretcher Ambulances

On Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the AMZ-KUTNO S.A. facility, an agreement was signed between the Armament Agency and the manufacturer for the delivery of nearly 250 multi-stretcher ambulances for the Polish Armed Forces.
The ceremony was attended by Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, and Paweł Bejda, Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence.

Modern Medical Support for the Armed Forces

“I’m very glad to be here again at AMZ Kutno and to sign another important contract for the Polish Armed Forces. We are purchasing around 250 ambulances for our army. The agreement also includes a logistics and training package. Today’s contract is part of building up the military medical service and an investment in the development of the local economy,”
said Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz during the ceremony.

The contract covers not only the delivery of vehicles, but also comprehensive operational support, including training and logistics packages, ensuring long-term reliability and readiness of the equipment.

Vehicles Designed for All Conditions

According to the technical specification, the multi-stretcher ambulances are intended for medical evacuation operations under a wide range of terrain and climatic conditions typical of Europe. The vehicles will be capable of traveling both on paved roads and off-road.

Each vehicle will be equipped with:

  • Medical equipment enabling first aid and emergency procedures in field conditions,
  • Radio communication systems compatible with NATO standards,
  • Nationally manufactured radios, ensuring interoperability with other Polish military equipment.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the new ambulances are “very well equipped” and will allow for the simultaneous transport of four patients, providing the capability to deliver full on-site medical assistance.

Strengthening the Domestic Defence Industry

“I want to say that AMZ won this tender because you are the best. Thank you for everything you do for our local community here in Kutno. This is a true expression of patriotism. I wish you continued growth,”
said Deputy Minister Paweł Bejda, acknowledging the company’s contribution to the national defence supply chain.

AMZ-KUTNO S.A. has long specialized in the production of special-purpose vehicles, including military ones. The company supplies, among other models, the LOTR KLESZCZ light armoured reconnaissance vehicles used by reconnaissance units.

During the visit, representatives of the Ministry of Defence toured the company’s military production facilities, held discussions with the technical staff and management, and assessed opportunities for expanding industrial and defence cooperation.

“I would like to thank everyone who contributed to making this ambulance contract possible — the Armament Agency for conducting the procurement process and all those who are part of AMZ Kutno,”
emphasized Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz.
