Poland’s recorded music market reached PLN 515.7 million in the first half of 2026, up 13.9% year on year. Streaming remains dominant, but physical formats are growing strongly as well. Vinyl revenue jumped 46.3% and is now almost level with CD sales.
According to ZPAV data, vinyl generated PLN 42.4 million in the first six months of the year, while CD sales reached PLN 42.8 million, up 10.5% year on year. Total revenue from physical formats rose 25.65% to PLN 86 million, representing 16.7% of the entire market.
Anna Ceynowa, communications director at ZPAV, notes that the market is still expanding, although more slowly than in recent years. What makes the current period unusual is that growth is visible both in streaming and across physical formats, including CDs, vinyl, cassettes and music DVDs.
Paid subscriptions drive digital growth
Streaming generated PLN 428.5 million, 11.9% more than a year earlier, and accounted for 83.1% of Poland’s recorded music market. Paid subscriptions are becoming increasingly important: they generated PLN 330.3 million, up 26% year on year, and accounted for almost 77% of streaming revenue.
The total digital market was worth PLN 429.7 million, an increase of 11.85% from the first half of 2025.
Polish music continues to dominate streaming. Domestic recordings occupied all ten places in the OLiS Single streaming top 10 and 79 positions in the top 100. ‘Fantazje’ by MIÜ, Pezet and Bedoes 2115 was the most popular single, while Taco Hemingway’s ‘Latarnie wszędzie dawno zgasły’ led the streaming, physical-sales and combined OLiS album rankings.
The vinyl segment is more internationally and stylistically diverse. Harry Styles topped the vinyl ranking with ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally’, alongside releases by artists ranging from Megadeth and Pink Floyd to Michael Jackson and Bad Bunny.
