Poland’s residential construction market improved in the first half of 2026. Developers and individual investors completed 94,800 homes, started construction of 114,600 and obtained permits covering 145,400 units.
The strongest increase was recorded in permits, with the number of homes covered rising 18.8% year on year. The figures point to a stronger pipeline for residential development after a period of weaker activity.
Non-residential construction showed a less favourable picture, with new industrial and other commercial building activity losing momentum. The divergence suggests that housing is currently providing a stronger contribution to Poland’s construction pipeline than industrial projects.
