Poczta Polska has begun the largest technological overhaul in its recent history, signaling a strong shift toward cooperation with the IT industry. During the first-ever IT Suppliers Day, held at the company’s headquarters in Warsaw, more than one hundred representatives from dozens of technology firms gathered—highlighting the scale of the transformation ahead. The company presented a new cooperation model for vendors, simplified procurement procedures, and announced a series of tenders covering key business and infrastructure systems. The IT modernization program is part of a wider plan to upgrade logistics, automate sorting centers, and build a new ecosystem of public services that will position Poczta Polska as a modern digital operator.

A large-scale modernization begins

On 18 November, Poczta Polska officially launched its deep technological modernization. The inaugural IT Suppliers Day—the first event of its kind in the company’s history—brought together more than 100 representatives from nearly 70 companies in the IT, telecommunications, and technology consulting sectors. It marks a major step in opening Poczta Polska to extensive market collaboration, and serves as a cornerstone of the largest digital transformation program undertaken by a state-owned enterprise in recent years.

“We are ready for innovation”

Sebastian Mikosz, CEO of Poczta Polska

Poczta Polska’s CEO, Sebastian Mikosz, emphasized that the institution is entering an intensive modernization phase and is seeking partners capable of helping to build a new technological ecosystem:

“Poczta is one of the largest institutions in the country, with vast infrastructure and tens of thousands of IT system users.
We are entering a period of intensive technological modernization, and we are looking for partners who can help elevate our services to a new level. (…)
Cooperation with Poczta is a unique opportunity to have a real impact on the quality of the country’s critical infrastructure.”

A New Model of Market Collaboration

During the event, the company presented the pillars of its new IT strategy and simplified procurement procedures. Poczta Polska aims to build relationships with technology suppliers based on:

  • transparent rules,
  • clear tender criteria,
  • flexible pilot programs,
  • partnership and shared responsibility.

In the coming weeks, the company will announce several new tenders, including procurements for HR systems, Contact Center platforms, infrastructure modernization, and IT integration.

As highlighted by Paweł Raczyński, Management Board Proxy and Director of the Digital Transformation Department:

“For technology companies, Poczta is more than a client.
It is a space where they can meaningfully influence how the state and public services function.”

The technological transformation also extends to operational and logistics areas. As part of the Transformation Plan, Poczta Polska is modernizing its letter-sorting system across six key locations.
