PMPG Polskie Media, a media holding company listed on the main Warsaw stock exchange, published its results for the third quarter of 2024. During the analysed period, the Group achieved a revenue of PLN 24.3 million from sales and reported a negative EBITDA and net result, amounting to PLN -4.2 million and PLN -5.0 million, respectively. The financial results are dictated by dynamic changes in the publishing market, which are reflected in decreasing advertising revenues.
“With two of the three most influential media outlets in Poland in our portfolio, we constantly have to adapt to the market and domestic situation. The consistent implementation of the digital assets development strategy is yielding first results, evident in portal stats for example, Wprost.pl’s views increased by 10 million and unique users by over 1 million in five months. This is also evident in the results of new portals. I am optimistic and I know that the consistent implementation of the strategy, which currently generates a negative result, will translate into positive results in the coming months.” comments Katarzyna Gintrowska, President of PMPG Polskie Media.
Considering the dynamic market changes, the Group is diversifying content distribution channels by creating new portals. In September, a portal describing medical aspects – Newsmed.pl, was launched, and in October infotuba.pl, which uses simple language to discuss issues such as taxes, job market, health or pensions. Infotuba.pl is the fourth web service launched by PMPG this year. Earlier, quizik.pl and smaki.pl were launched. Next year, an equity issue of Orlego Pióra, the publisher of ‘Do Rzeczy’, is also planned, which is expected to bring capital for brand development.
