– We have a portfolio of locations for construction over the next two to three years – announces Paweł Grzywaczewski from Anwim, the owner of the MOYA petrol station network. This independent Polish network has grown to 500 points within 15 years of operating on the domestic market, meaning several dozen new openings every year. Future investments will focus on locations that will complement the ‘white spots’ on the fuel map of Poland. The company also announces new investments in electromobility.
On February 6, the 500th MOYA station was opened in Kobyłka, near Warsaw. The jubilee location is situated near the S8 route junction, making it an attractive location for both local and transit customers. In addition to a full fuel offering, the new station features a 24-hour shop and cafe.
“Reaching the 500th MOYA station is a milestone for us, marking 15 years of work. We built this network from scratch, when at the very beginning almost no one predicted our success. Today, we feel pride and satisfaction in what we have achieved. I hope it will be a bit easier for us to continue growing, as we are already well recognized in the market,” says Paweł Grzywaczewski, a board member of Anwim. “I believe that being a Polish brand is of great importance to our customers, especially the business ones. There’s a resurgence of sentiment towards supporting mutual Polish products, which pleases us. We’ll aim to leverage this in the future, offering a higher standard and better products.”
MOYA is an independent Polish fuel station brand, operating since 2009 with the third-largest number of points on the market. It is present in all provinces along the major transit routes, local roads, and in cities. Anwim plans further dynamic development of the network, with a growth rate of about 30-40 points per year.
“The sentiment for the fuel market in general, not only in Poland, but worldwide, is improving. Trump’s election as President of the United States and his famous “drill further” is boosting sentiment towards our industry and we need to take advantage of that, we need to keep growing. We have clear plans, though we may not be as frantic to just increase the number of stations, we’ll be more selective and choose better locations in terms of filling in the ‘white spots’ and offerings for customers. I think we’ll maintain our reputation as the fastest-growing fuel station network in Poland,” assures a board member of Anwim.
The company is unique in the Polish market in that it is simultaneously developing three types of petrol stations – traditional full-service locations, automated ones where only card payment is available, and self-service (MOYA express concept).
“We have a portfolio of properties for station construction for the next two to three years, so we don’t have to worry about new locations for our own stations in this regard. These are great locations, in top spots along newly built roads, also taking into account changing circumstances. For example, city center locations used to be very popular, now there’s more need for locations on the outskirts of cities. That’s where we want to be, expanding our offering with franchise stations, which are very important to us, and we want to add several dozen franchise points to our network every year,” announces Paweł Grzywaczewski.
The dynamic expansion of the network is one of the two main growth areas for the group. The other is green investments, including the construction of electric vehicle charging points – both at MOYA stations and elsewhere. The CEO of Anwim recently announced that by the end of 2025, the company plans to launch about 70 charging stations, equalling 140 points.
