The Council of the Polish Leasing Association (ZPL) has unanimously appointed Monika Constant for a second term as president of the organization. The new mandate will cover the next three years. Constant has led the association since the beginning of 2023.
The decision confirms the Council’s confidence in the current strategic direction of the organization and in the way it represents the interests of the leasing industry in Poland.
During the past three years under Constant’s leadership, the Polish Leasing Association has strengthened the position of leasing as one of the key instruments for financing business investments. The organization has also maintained an active regulatory dialogue with public administration and expanded its role as an expert voice in economic discussions.
“The Council’s decision reflects recognition of Monika Constant’s work to date. ZPL has become an important partner in dialogue with public administration, and the initiatives undertaken within the association and among its members have effectively strengthened the organization’s potential. Continuing this strategy in the next term is crucial both for the further development of the organization and for effective communication between the leasing sector and its broader environment,” said Marcin Balicki.
Constant’s second term will run from 2026 to 2028.
“I would like to thank the Council for its trust and for unanimously appointing me to another term. Leasing remains one of the most important instruments for financing the development of Polish companies. In the coming years we will continue working to ensure a stable and predictable regulatory environment while supporting the technological and energy transformation of businesses,” said Constant.
Before taking on her role at ZPL, Constant served as Director General of the French-Polish Chamber of Commerce from 2009 to 2023. During her tenure, the organization became one of the largest and most influential bilateral chambers in Poland, bringing together more than 400 companies with Polish and French capital. She has been associated with French business for over 20 years. In 2017, she was awarded the French National Order of Merit by the Ambassador of France to Poland for her outstanding contribution to strengthening Polish-French economic cooperation.
Constant graduated from the Faculty of Applied Linguistics and East Slavic Philology (now Applied Linguistics) at the University of Warsaw. She also completed Polish-French postgraduate studies in economic management – the Master de Management Economique Européen program – conducted jointly by HEC Paris and Warsaw School of Economics.
The Polish Leasing Association is the only industry organization representing the leasing sector in Poland. It represents more than 90% of the country’s leasing market and brings together 36 entities, including 35 leasing companies and the Polish Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association, which includes 19 member companies.
The leasing sector in Poland remains one of the key sources of investment financing for businesses. In 2025, leasing companies financed investments with a total value of PLN 119.5 billion, representing an 8.1% year-on-year increase. ZPL estimates that in 2026 the value of investments financed by the leasing industry will grow again, reaching PLN 129.7 billion.
Leasing is particularly important for the SME sector, which accounts for more than 70% of financed investments. Poland is also among the European leaders in the use of leasing—63% of small and medium-sized enterprises identify leasing as one of their key sources of financing, the highest result in the European Union according to the SAFE 2025 survey.
