Mex Polska estimates that its consolidated sales revenue exceeded PLN 64 million in the first half of 2026, representing an increase of 13.44% year on year. This was the highest first-half revenue recorded by the group in its history. Growth was supported by the expansion of its restaurant network, the increasing scale of its key brands and favourable market conditions.
Mex Polska S.A., a Warsaw Stock Exchange-listed holding company managing Poland’s largest multi-brand food and beverage network, continued its expansion during the first six months of 2026. The group opened four new locations, completing more than half of its full-year plan to launch six or seven new venues.
The estimated results continue a multi-year trend of strong revenue growth. In the corresponding periods, the group generated PLN 56.5 million in 2025, approximately PLN 49.1 million in 2024 and around PLN 42.6 million in 2023.
“The record first-half results confirm the effectiveness of the development strategy we have been consistently implementing. For several years, we have maintained a strong pace of revenue growth, steadily expanding the scale of our operations and strengthening our position as Poland’s largest multi-brand food and beverage network,” said Dariusz Kowalik, Management Board Member and Chief Financial Officer of Mex Polska S.A.
“In the first six months of 2026, we opened four new food and beverage locations, completing more than half of our full-year expansion plan. Further lease agreements have already been signed, and additional openings are expected soon, confirming the implementation of our development plans for 2026.
“At the same time, we continue to work on improving operating efficiency and business profitability. We believe that the combination of dynamic expansion, a strong portfolio of food and beverage concepts and the ability to respond flexibly to changing consumer preferences will allow us to maintain double-digit growth and consistently build shareholder value,” Kowalik added.
Four new locations opened in the first half of 2026
Mex Polska opened four new locations during the first half of the year as it continued to implement its expansion strategy.
In February, the group added a Chicas & Gorillas venue in Wrocław and launched a virtual Spoko Taco location operating as a dark kitchen in Łódź.
Another venue opened on Bohaterów Monte Cassino Street in Sopot in April. In May, the Chicas & Gorillas network expanded with a new restaurant on Kraków’s Main Market Square.
The four openings represent substantial progress towards the group’s 2026 investment target of six to seven new locations. Mex Polska also noted that it has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to expand faster than originally planned when suitable and commercially attractive locations become available.
Pijalnia and Chicas & Gorillas remain key growth drivers
The Pijalnia brand, the Chicas & Gorillas concept and the group’s restaurant formats remain the main drivers of growth. Spoko Taco and Barrio Latino are meanwhile continuing to build scale and strengthen their market positions.
As the number of locations increases and the group benefits from economies of scale, Mex Polska expects further improvements in operating efficiency and more stable profitability.
“The Polish food service market has been growing at a rate close to 10% annually for several years. The improving financial position of consumers, particularly in the country’s largest cities, is supporting further growth in demand,” said Paweł Kowalewski, President of the Management Board of Mex Polska S.A.
“We are capitalising on this potential by scaling our most promising concepts, expanding the network and systematically improving operating efficiency.
“At the same time, we are actively adapting our portfolio to changing trends. The transformation of Pijalnia and the development of modern brands such as Chicas & Gorillas, Spoko Taco and Barrio Latino demonstrate our ability to build concepts that appeal to new consumer groups and offer further growth potential,” Kowalewski concluded.
Mex Polska currently manages a nationwide network of nearly 60 food and beverage venues located in Poland’s largest cities and its key tourist destinations.
