Martyna Malczewska-Malak has taken over as Managing Director of Nutricia Polska, a company within the DANONE group. This change stems from internal promotions within both the Polish and international structures of DANONE and is aligned with the organization’s ongoing implementation of a category-based management model across Europe. The aim of this transformation is to further strengthen the realization of the group’s shared mission: bringing health through food to as many people as possible, and advancing the One Planet. One Health vision, which highlights the interconnection between human health and the planet’s well-being.

Malczewska-Malak has been with the company for nearly 13 years. Most recently, for nearly six years, she served as Director of the Medical Nutrition Department. Before that, she held the roles of Sales Director for Poland and Country Manager for the Baltic States and Ukraine. Throughout her career at Nutricia, she has worked in the specialized field of medical nutrition products for both adults and children.

“Becoming the Managing Director of Nutricia Polska is not only a great honor, but also a sign of trust from the organization,” she says. “Especially in the face of dynamic changes, including demographic shifts and the aging of the population in our country, we must approach nutrition and food security responsibly — for consumers and patients with diverse needs. We must also not forget the critical importance of healthy eating habits established in childhood. Challenging times lie ahead, but I am convinced that Nutricia Polska will continue to effectively fulfill its mission of bringing health through food to as many people as possible and its One Planet. One Health vision — values shared by all DANONE companies.”

A Bold Vision

The new managing director has already set an ambitious vision for the company she now leads.

“My goal is for Nutricia to remain the undisputed leader in all categories in which we operate,” Malczewska-Malak explains. “I believe we can become even stronger by offering solutions that are well-adapted to market challenges and by providing the best nutritional care during the most sensitive stages of life. At the same time, I want employees to feel that Nutricia is the best place to develop their potential.”

A New Management Model in Europe

In her new role, Malczewska-Malak reports directly to Paweł Piątek, General Manager of the DANONE group in Poland. She has also joined DANONE’s local management team.

“At DANONE, we are continuing the transformation of our European management model — shifting from a geographic to a category-based structure,” says Piątek. “This involves not only a change in structure but also a change in mindset. We have a team of strong, experienced professionals who understand the specifics of local markets and communities and have unique expertise in industries that are both demanding and deeply personal. In such a sensitive area as health, combining regional awareness with subject-matter expertise is crucial.”

Leadership Changes

Artur Ludwiczak, the former Managing Director of Nutricia Polska, has been promoted to Vice President of Medical Nutrition Europe. In his new role, he will oversee medical categories and, as a member of both the global and European management teams, define the portfolio and innovation strategies for the continent.

The role of Director of the Medical Nutrition Department, previously held by Malczewska-Malak, is now occupied by Marta Łojewska, who previously led the Strategy & Insights department. In her new position, Łojewska reports directly to Malczewska-Malak.

About Nutricia Polska

Nutricia Polska is a market leader in infant and toddler food products and medical nutrition for individuals requiring specialized diets. It was the first company in Poland to produce food for special medical purposes, as well as modified milk and baby food, to receive B Corp certification — a recognition of its commitment to using business as a force for positive social and environmental change.

Nutricia Polska’s portfolio also includes the Nutrimed and Promedica nutrition clinics, which employ a team of 600 qualified medical professionals. These clinics provide comprehensive home-based nutritional care for patients who are unable to eat orally. They are the only providers of such services operating in every province in Poland, and 100% of their patient visits are conducted at home, regardless of location.
