Henkel Polska has appointed a new member of its management board and Chief Financial Officer. As of early April, the role has been assumed by Marco van de Beek, who has been associated with the Henkel Group for 14 years. In his new position, he will be responsible for the financial strategy of the Northeast Cluster, covering Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Kazakhstan.
In this role, Marco van de Beek will oversee financial processes, ensuring operational stability and efficiency both in Poland and across the broader Northeast European region. His responsibilities include financial reporting in line with local and international accounting standards, tax reporting, business controlling, and supporting key business decisions.
“Joining the Polish team is an exciting new challenge for me. I intend to leverage my experience to strengthen financial management and support the company in delivering profitable, sustainable growth in line with the Purposeful Growth strategy. I will focus on identifying key development areas, improving margins, and enhancing the execution of strategic goals across the region,” said Marco van de Beek.
The new board member has been with Henkel for fourteen years, having started his career as an intern, which allowed him to gain a deep understanding of the organization from the ground up. After completing his studies and a brief period working in the banking sector in the Netherlands, including roles at ABN AMRO and Kempen & Co, he returned to Henkel in 2012 as a Treasury Manager at the company’s headquarters in Düsseldorf.
Over more than a decade, he has built a dynamic international career within Henkel, gaining extensive managerial experience. Among other roles, he was responsible for controlling and business development for Consumer Brands in the Latin American region, based in Mexico. Prior to his current appointment, he served in Hamburg as Head of Controlling Global Professional within Henkel Consumer Brands Professional.
Marco van de Beek holds a strong academic background in economics, business, and management, having studied at institutions such as University of Oxford, University College Dublin, and Copenhagen Business School. He further developed his managerial expertise through the CEMS program (Global Alliance in Management Education), which brings together leading business schools from around the world. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Born in the Netherlands, Marco van de Beek enjoys swimming and diving, as well as hiking with his wife.
