Lidl Polska bought goods and services worth PLN 26.8 billion from Polish suppliers in 2025. More than PLN 24 billion was spent on products sold in stores and another PLN 2.8 billion on materials and services used by the retail network. At the same time, 386 Polish companies sold products through Lidl in 28 foreign markets, generating exports worth more than PLN 7.2 billion.
PLN 26.8bn purchased from Polish companies
According to data presented by Lidl Polska, the largest part of its domestic procurement was merchandise intended for sale in stores. This category exceeded PLN 24 billion.
A further PLN 2.8 billion covered materials and services used in stores, distribution centres and other parts of the company’s operations. The spending therefore includes cooperation not only with food and consumer-goods producers but also with companies supporting retail and logistics infrastructure.
For our business partners, this provides an opportunity to plan production, invest, develop teams and scale their operations. We want to build long-term relationships with suppliers, said Włodzimierz Wlaźlak, CEO of Lidl Polska.
386 Polish suppliers sold products abroad
Foreign distribution is another significant part of the relationship between Lidl and Polish suppliers. In 2025, 386 Polish companies sold their products through the retailer’s international network.
Those goods reached 28 markets and the value of exports exceeded PLN 7.2 billion. Since 2018, cumulative sales of Polish products abroad through Lidl have exceeded PLN 39 billion.
The main export destinations in 2025 were Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Lithuania. Frequently exported categories included meat and processed meat, cheese, frozen food, detergents and cleaning products.
Long-term contracts support production planning
Lidl’s report on its contribution to the Polish economy also describes the experiences of suppliers including Firma Handlowa ROLNIK, Sante and Millano Group. The companies highlighted not only the scale of orders but also their predictability.
Earlier agreement on sales volumes helps manufacturers plan production, inventories and investment. In some cases, long-term cooperation has been one of the factors considered when launching new production lines or increasing employment.
Suppliers also pointed to the ability to introduce new products and test them across a broad store network. For some Polish manufacturers, large retail chains therefore serve both as a major domestic customer and as a channel for entering additional European markets.
