On October 6, 2025, in Madrid, Jakub Nowak, CEO of JNT Group, signed an agreement to acquire Marques de Monistrol, a historic Spanish winery renowned for its production of cava. The move marks another milestone in the company’s international expansion, positioning the entry into the Spanish market as a new strategic pillar in JNT Group’s global growth.
Strengthening International Expansion
JNT Group is rapidly implementing its international growth strategy. Last year, the company acquired a majority stake in DOMENIILE BOIERU SRL, which includes 200 hectares of vineyards in Ciumbrud and Sebes, Romania. This acquisition allowed JNT Group to introduce Transylvanian wines to the Polish market while simultaneously selling Polish brands in Romania.
The acquisition of Marques de Monistrol, with annual production capacity of up to 12 million bottles of cava, significantly expands the company’s operational and export potential.
“This transaction is crucial for our global strategy because it opens a true window to the world and provides tremendous growth potential,” explained Jakub Nowak, President of JNT Group.
“By acquiring Marques de Monistrol, we’re not only entering the Spanish market — where we plan to sell our other products, such as Monte Santi and spirits — but we’re also gaining access to a wide network of global markets. Around 70% of cava production is exported, which means we’ll be able to distribute other JNT Group products alongside it. This will help us scale the business and move significantly closer to our goal of being present in 50 markets within the next 3 to 5 years.”

Marques de Monistrol, founded in 1882, is the second-oldest cava producer in Spain. The winery is located in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, a region known for its ideal climate and soil conditions that support sustainable viticulture.
Over more than 143 years of operation, Marques de Monistrol wines have earned numerous awards at prestigious competitions in Paris, Brussels, and Barcelona. In just the past decade, the brand has received 165 international distinctions, underscoring its reputation for quality and tradition.
