From 1 June this year, Jakub Górnik will take over as Deloitte’s global leader for services dedicated to the telecommunications, media and entertainment sector (TME). In his new role, he will be responsible for developing the global Operate practice, which supports clients in more than 150 countries in operational transformation, service scaling and the implementation of modern management models.

Jakub Górnik has extensive experience at the intersection of business and technology. He specialises in digital transformation, product development, and the creation and execution of business strategies. He gained his professional experience in the telecommunications and sports sectors. Before joining Deloitte, he held senior positions at companies including T-Mobile and Orange. In recent years, he has led a number of digital transformation projects for companies in the TME sector, as well as for clients from the financial, healthcare, sports and public sectors.

Górnik is also a member of Deloitte’s global team responsible for the partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and for delivering technological solutions for the Milano-Cortina 2026 and Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. Together with a team of nearly 200 engineers from Poland and Central Europe, he is responsible for building software supporting the organisation of these events.

In his new role, Górnik will be responsible for Deloitte’s international TME practice across more than 150 countries. Drawing on his experience gained in the markets of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, he will support clients in designing modern operating models, scaling their businesses and implementing innovations that respond to the growing complexity of the market and changing consumer expectations.

“Clients in the TME sector are operating in a highly demanding business environment today. Artificial intelligence, changing consumer behaviour and infrastructure pressure are all converging at the same time. The Operate practice is where strategy meets reality. I am pleased to lead a team that helps clients not only manage their operations more intelligently, but also transform them into a source of growth and competitive advantage. This is also an opportunity for Polish companies to draw inspiration and concrete, proven solutions from the best global examples and implement them in their own market,” said Jakub Górnik, the new Global Operate TME Sector Leader at Deloitte.
