The number of job postings in the IT sector is rising — in 2025, the average number of vacancies published by a single employer increased from 10 to 17, according to the latest analysis by No Fluff Jobs. Nearly 60% of listings concern senior-level roles. At the same time, the average number of applications per position fell by 45%. Frontend remains the most popular category among candidates, with an average of 78 CVs submitted per job posting.

The IT labour market in 2025 recorded a rebound in job availability, with 44% more postings published than in the previous year, according to the latest report “The IT Labour Market 2025” by No Fluff Jobs, a Polish job portal known for publishing salary ranges in its listings. The average number of offers published by a single employer rose from 10 in 2024 to 17 in 2025.

“It looks like the worst period for IT is already behind us. Of course, there is no reason for excessive optimism — compared with 2021–2022, demand in the market is still lower — but a return to a stable, ‘normal’ market is definitely a positive sign,” says Tomasz Bujok, CEO of No Fluff Jobs.
“At the same time, a closer look shows that the situation is no longer the same as before. Companies are now even more focused on experienced professionals — in 2025, as many as 60% of job postings were for senior and expert roles, while only one in twenty offers was addressed to junior candidates.”

Average number of applications per job down by 45%

Alongside the growing number of vacancies, competition has eased — the average number of applications per job offer dropped by 45% year on year. The decline is similar for postings aimed at both junior and more experienced candidates. The sharpest drop in competition was recorded in the AI, Fullstack, Business Analysis, and UX/UI/Design categories. Frontend roles remain the most competitive, however, attracting an average of 78 applicants per listing.

Nearly 60% of currently open recruitment processes concern senior-level positions, while 35% of companies are looking for mid-level professionals. Among the most frequently required skills are Python (23% of offers), SQL (22%), and Java (18.5%) — core tools for backend developers, fullstack engineers, and data analysts.

Remote work still dominates IT, but hybrid work is gaining ground

Remote work continues to dominate the IT sector, appearing in 43% of job postings on No Fluff Jobs. At the same time, hybrid work models are becoming increasingly popular. Three years ago, the option to work partly from home and partly from the office appeared in 19% of offers; today, this figure has risen to 35%.

As for non-salary benefits, employers increasingly highlighted private healthcare in their listings last year (85% of offers, up 5 percentage points year on year) and sports subscription cards (71% of offers, an increase of 8 percentage points compared with 2024).
