As of the end of June 2024, the total number of fully electric vehicles (BEVs) registered in Poland was 68,792.

Electric Vehicles

As of the end of June 2024, the fleet of fully electric passenger, delivery, and heavy-duty vehicles (BEVs) in Poland totaled 68,792 units. The passenger BEV fleet consisted of 61,976 units (+54% year-on-year), with 1,809 new vehicle registrations (+17% year-on-year). At the end of June 2024, the fleet of fully electric delivery and heavy-duty vehicles had increased to 6,816 units (+57% year-on-year). The fleet of hydrogen-powered passenger FCEVs numbered 230 units (+20% year-on-year). The most popular new passenger BEV models in June 2024 were the Tesla Model 3 (583 units sold), Tesla Model Y (250 units), and Volvo EX30 (134 units). The top brands were Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen. The market share of BEVs in the new passenger car market in June 2024 was 4.2%.

Charging Infrastructure

In Poland, at the end of June 2024, there were 7,255 (+41% year-on-year) publicly accessible charging points, including 5,154 AC points (+32% year-on-year) and 2,101 DC points (+66% year-on-year). The largest share of the charging infrastructure in Poland was held by chargers with a power output of up to 22 kW (62%), but the number of fast DC stations with a power output exceeding 50 kW is growing very rapidly. At the end of June 2024, EV drivers in Poland could already use 971 such devices. The “PEVO Index” also includes information on cities with the most developed infrastructure for zero-emission vehicles. Warsaw ranks first (636 points in June 2024), followed by Gdańsk (297), Szczecin (256), Kraków (226), and Poznań (214). The number of charging points along the TEN-T network at the end of June 2024 was 764, an increase of 26% year-on-year.

Used Zero-Emission Vehicle Market

The “PEVO Index” also includes data on the secondary e-mobility market in Poland. At the end of June 2024, the number of used BEV listings on the OTOMOTO portal was 4,492, a 57% increase year-on-year. The share of fully electric vehicle listings in the total number of used vehicle listings was 1.1%. These listings accounted for 0.8% of all ad views on the OTOMOTO portal. The most popular BEV models on the secondary e-mobility market in Poland were the Nissan Leaf (365 listings in June 2024 with an average price of 60,454 PLN), BMW i3 (300 listings with an average price of 78,859 PLN), and Tesla Model 3 (186 listings with an average price of 133,799 PLN).
