COMPANIESID Logistics: Dynamic acceleration in Q4, double-digit revenue growth in 2023
  • Revenue in Q4 2023: 776.2 million euros, +14.5% (+11.9% like-for-like)
  • Revenue for 2023: 2.747 billion euros, +10.7% (+7.2% like-for-like)
  • Continued high revenue growth momentum thanks to new contracts

ID Logistics, a European leader in contract logistics, has summarized revenues for Q4 and the year 2023.

Eric Hémar, Chairman and CEO of ID Logistics Group, comments: “The last quarter of fiscal 2023 saw an acceleration in revenue growth at ID Logistics, stimulated by the launch of significant projects in several key countries in Europe and across the Atlantic. The Group is well prepared to continue dynamic growth in 2024.”

ACCELERATED REVENUE GROWTH IN Q4: +14.5%

In the fourth quarter of 2023, ID Logistics’ revenues increased by 14.5% to 776.2 million euros. This result includes revenues from Spedimex, acquired and consolidated from June 1, 2023. After adjusting for changes in consolidation scope and the generally unfavorable impact of exchange rates, growth was 11.9%, compared to the fourth quarter of 2022.

  • The Group has recorded significant revenue growth in the USA, at 34.1% like-for-like;
  • In Europe (excluding France), revenue growth was 10.5%, mainly driven by the results achieved in Poland and Italy, and the commencement of operations in the UK;
  • A decline in revenues in France, the Group’s home market (-5.9% in Q4 2023 vs. Q4 2022) is a result of trends observed in previous quarters, mostly a drop in consumption volumes and a pushback to 2024 of the planned opening of some new locations.

ID Logistics ended 2023 achieving revenues of 2.747 billion euros, which translates to a 10.7% growth (+7.2% like-for-like). Last year, the Group launched 22 new warehouses.

NEW CONTRACTS AND DISTRIBUTION CENTERS IN EUROPE AND USA

In the fourth quarter, ID Logistics responded to more tender requests and participated in many tenders.

The Group won or began implementing new contracts, including:

  • In France, AB inBev entrusted ID Logistics with the management of two logistics centers measuring 32,000 sq. m. and 60,000 sq. m., respectively, in order to optimize distribution flows to large retail networks and to cafes, hotels, and restaurants.
  • In Italy, Carrefour entrusted ID Logistics with the management of a distribution center dedicated to food service, measuring 42,000 sq. m., located near Milan. Opening a new distribution center nearly a year after launching ID Logistics’ first branch in Italy confirms the Group’s ability to build lasting relationships with long-term clients.
  • In the United States, ID Logistics is expanding its FMCG product offering. The Group started collaboration with a leading manufacturer of cleaning products, managing logistics operations at a warehouse located near Chicago. ID Logistics was also picked by an American and international company specializing in the production of beverages and snacks to manage logistics and co-packing operations at two warehouses in Atlanta, with a total area of 118,000 sq. m.

RECORD REVENUE GROWTH OF ID LOGISTICS IN POLAND

Poland is one of the key markets for ID Logistics. In the fourth quarter, the Group continued its dynamic pace of development, recording record high revenue growth.

In 2022, ID Logistics’ revenues on the Polish market amounted to PLN 984 million, last year they increased to nearly PLN 1.5 billion. This impressive result confirms the efficiency of the adopted strategy and the commitment of our teams,” says Carlos Tavares, CFO of ID Logistics in Poland.

In 2023, ID Logistics’ operations were mainly focused on strengthening cooperation with retail, FMCG, e-commerce, fashion and beauty industry clients in supply chain management and warehousing service. The company began implementing new projects and optimizing costs. The result was influenced by the strategic transformation process and integration with Spedimex – a key player in contract logistics for fashion, e-commerce and beauty in Poland (acquired 100% shares in June 2023). IDEO by ID Logistics, launched in 2022, also experienced rapid growth, serving as a Control Tower for goods flows in the FMCG industry for road, rail and multimodal transport.

Last year ID Logistics opened three new warehouses in Poland for companies from the fashion, interior furnishings and e-commerce sectors. Currently, it manages 39 distribution centers over a total area of more than 1 million sq.m., and is ready for further expansion.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PERSPECTIVES

In 2024, ID Logistics will continue to support global leaders in organizing and optimizing supply chains, especially in sectors such as retail, e-commerce, fashion, consumer and luxury goods. The business development in the USA and Poland, following the investments made in the last two years, and the recent commencement of operations in Italy and the UK, confirm the effectiveness of the adopted strategy.
