In the first quarter of this year, the Polish biotechnology company HiProMine – which specializes in the sustainable production of feed and pet food components as well as organic fertilizers based on Hermetia illucens larvae – focused on significantly improving operational efficiency and product quality. The company aims to continue optimizing operations across multiple areas while dynamically increasing sales, laying a strong foundation for further growth.
Over the past quarter, the company concentrated on enhancing operational performance and reducing costs. As a result of these efforts, productivity per square meter and production speed on machines improved, while the cost of feed production, energy consumption, and process-related costs all decreased. The improvement is substantial – approximately 30% better than six months ago.
“In our new facility, we have completed a number of projects aimed at optimizing efficiency, reducing energy consumption, and lowering unit production costs. This has led to improved current operational productivity, providing a strong basis for the company’s continued sustainable growth. Our plans include ongoing operational optimization supported by a dynamic increase in sales. I can already say that despite the challenges typical of the early development stage of this market, the high quality of our products and our technological edge are beginning to deliver tangible results. Customer trust is translating into growing interest in our products and positive quality audit results, which we have seen in the first few months of this year. All of this confirms the validity of our chosen strategy and builds a solid foundation for further business development,” commented Rafał Prendke, CEO of HiProMine.
In the first three months of 2025, HiProMine’s product sales revenue approached PLN 3.3 million, compared to PLN 254.3 thousand in the same period of 2024.
“In the first quarter alone, we achieved nearly the same product sales as we did in the entire previous year. The increasing quarterly sales result from a dynamic rise in orders from new clients as well as continued cooperation with existing partners. We are particularly pleased with the positive market feedback regarding the stability of our product parameters and the excellent reviews from our clients. We are convinced that our competitive edge lies in quality, consistency of supply, innovation, and our flexibility in adapting to the expectations of our business partners,” added Prendke.
Last year, HiProMine began ramping up its sales activities, resulting in the signing of its first contracts and the launch of product deliveries to the Polish market and several other countries. In Q1, there was a significant increase in sales within the pet food segment. Strong demand for HiProMine’s products also enabled a successful market entry in the livestock feed segment. Additionally, the past quarter saw the start of egg sales, leveraging the company’s production capacity. The fast-growing demand for the company’s products and the expanding customer base across all animal nutrition and fertilizer sectors confirm the scalability of HiProMine’s business model.
HiProMine operates the most modern facility of its kind in Europe, located in Karkoszów, making it one of the largest insect-based component suppliers on the continent. It also runs a Genetic Breeding and Reproduction Center for Hermetia illucens in Robakowo.
