The construction of Ghelamco’s flagship investment in Poland—the The Bridge office complex, comprising over 54,000 sqm of space and reaching a height of 174 meters—has officially been completed. This marks another milestone project and a significant step in the dynamic transformation of the area around Rondo Daszyńskiego into a thriving business hub of Warsaw, a process initiated and continuously advanced by the Belgian developer.
Ghelamco’s latest investment elegantly blends past and future. The Bridge, which consists of a state-of-the-art skyscraper and the historic building of the former Bellona Publishing House, has received its occupancy permit. Final finishing work is currently underway in the common areas, and tenant fit-out processes have already begun. The site previously occupied by the construction infrastructure is now being redeveloped into a revitalized section of European Square (Plac Europejski), set to return in an even more attractive and modern form.
A Bridge Between Eras
The name The Bridge is more than just symbolic—it embodies the architectural concept behind the project. It connects a modern glass tower with a carefully restored historic structure, forming a cohesive and unique whole that harmonizes with the urban landscape and the rich history of Warsaw’s Wola district. The 174-meter-tall tower spans 42 floors above European Square and Grzybowska Street, while the adjacent Bellona building from the 1950s has been given new life—preserving its original walls, distinctive character, and historical spirit. The project was designed by the renowned Dutch studio UNStudio in collaboration with the Polish-Belgian architecture firm PROJEKT, both recognized for setting new standards in modern office spaces across Europe.
This is one of the most significant and ambitious office developments in Poland in recent years and a further step in the transformation of Rondo Daszyńskiego into Warsaw’s leading business showcase, a vision originally launched by Ghelamco.
“The Bridge is a prime example of modern architecture where cutting-edge technology meets the highest standards of sustainable construction. With advanced energy management systems, intelligent and eco-friendly solutions, and sustainable materials like low-emission concrete, we’re creating a workspace that is not only comfortable, aesthetic, and functional but also environmentally responsible,” said Jarosław Zagórski, Managing Director at Ghelamco Poland.
