COMPANIESFarada Group Signs Defence Deal with WITU and Considers Future IPO

Farada Group, whose leading shareholder is Warsaw-listed JRH ASI S.A., has signed an agreement with the Military Institute of Armament Technology (WITU) to develop the WARTOWNIK system—a comprehensive solution for monitoring and protecting strategically important areas using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). At this stage, Farada Group will invest PLN 1 million in the project. At the same time, the company has been invited to participate in field tests at the Autonomous Systems Centre (OSA) of the Polish Armed Forces.

The agreement, signed on Monday, March 23, 2026, provides for the development of the WARTOWNIK system—a modern tool for monitoring critical infrastructure, including military bases. The system will integrate UAV technologies with advanced data analytics algorithms. It is designed to offer a high degree of autonomy, top-level data security, and the ability to operate in demanding conditions, including environments with disrupted communications. Work on the project will begin immediately following the signing of the agreement, with completion planned for mid–fourth quarter 2026. The execution of the contract is expected to pave the way for regular drone orders from Farada Group for the defence sector.

“Signing the agreement with the Military Institute of Armament Technology is a breakthrough moment for us. WARTOWNIK is a project that demonstrates that Polish drone technologies can successfully address real needs in the defence sector. Our experience in protecting critical infrastructure, including in the energy sector, as well as our successful deliveries of drones to conflict zones, provide a strong foundation for this undertaking. We believe WARTOWNIK will mark the beginning of long-term cooperation with the defence sector,” said Szymon Kupaj, CEO of Farada Group.

As part of the agreement with WITU, the company has also been invited to participate in field tests organized within the Autonomous Systems Centre (OSA) of the Polish Armed Forces. The launch of OSA, with a budget of PLN 25 billion allocated for the current year, represents one of the most significant steps in the history of Poland’s unmanned technologies sector. During the tests, three different drone models produced by Farada Group will demonstrate their operational capabilities in field conditions. Participation in these trials provides the company with an opportunity to showcase its solutions in near-combat environments and to strengthen relationships with key institutions responsible for the modernization of Poland’s armed forces.

Farada Group may also benefit from public programs such as Eastern Poland, which supports innovative companies in the macro-region where the company’s factory is located, as well as the SAFE (Security Action for Europe) program—a new European Commission instrument aimed at strengthening the European defence industry. These initiatives could accelerate both research and development of new technologies and the scaling of production capabilities.

“We are currently entering a phase of intensive growth—the demand for our technologies is increasing significantly. To effectively implement our strategy, we are seriously considering a stock market debut in the future,” added Kupaj.

Farada Group is one of the pillars of the ORBITEO project—a technology holding being developed by JRH ASI S.A., integrating Polish companies from the space, defence, AI, and deeptech sectors. Within ORBITEO, Farada collaborates with SatRev, a Polish company specializing in satellite design, manufacturing, launch, and mission management. The companies are working on joint solutions that combine expertise in unmanned systems and space technologies. JRH ASI became the main shareholder of Farada Group in October 2025 as part of one of the largest acquisitions in its history.

“The agreement between Farada and WITU shows that the ORBITEO project has entered the execution phase. We expect more positive developments from this initiative. We are currently continuing to secure additional financing to implement our ambitious plans within ORBITEO, whose pillars are Farada Group and SatRev—companies that not only co-create the holding but also actively collaborate and develop joint technological solutions and new service portfolios. The agreement with the Institute confirms that Farada’s capabilities in unmanned systems have real applications both in the civilian market and in the defence sector. These capabilities have already been successfully tested in areas affected by military operations,” said January Ciszewski, main shareholder and CEO of JRH ASI S.A.

Farada Group is a Polish manufacturer and integrator of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), headquartered in Lubartów. The company offers three families of platforms—VTOL, multirotor, and fixed-wing—with a range of up to 1,000 km, flight endurance of up to 8 hours, and payload capacity from 2 to 25 kg. It operates its own production facilities and maintains a full value chain of competencies, including design, composite and electronics manufacturing, sensor integration, software development, and training. The company also provides drone-as-a-service solutions and has proven experience in BVLOS (beyond visual line of sight) operations. In commercial medical flights, it has exceeded 133,000 km of flight distance and has operated regular drone routes, including the Gdańsk–Hel corridor. Farada’s technologies are used in reconnaissance, logistics, inspection, and critical infrastructure protection missions, with their effectiveness validated in real conflict environments.
