Donald Tusk has presented a vision in which Poland transitions from a country catching up to becoming one of the leaders in Europe. This is a dream shared by many entrepreneurs and perhaps the entire business community. Joining the top ranks as quickly as possible is essential. Poland is currently the sixth-largest economy in the European Union, with a real chance of advancing into the top five. In terms of demographics, it already ranks fifth. This presents a historic opportunity for Poland to have a seat at the table where key decisions for the European Union and the entire continent are made.
“I trust Prime Minister Tusk because he has made far-reaching commitments in front of the cameras,” said Wojciech Kostrzewa, President of the Polish Business Roundtable, in an interview with eNewsroom.pl. “He understands that the key issue for the coming years will be the economy, and his message echoes Bill Clinton’s famous slogan: ‘It’s the economy, stupid.’ Without a strong economy, it is difficult to imagine ensuring national security with a strong army and institutions resilient to cyberattacks. A robust economy enhances citizens’ quality of life and lays the foundation for the country’s development. We haven’t had such a position in the last 200 years—yet today, thanks to the economic miracle of the past 35 years, it seems within reach. These changes open new opportunities for Poland and place us in a favorable position to play a significant role in shaping Europe’s future,” emphasized Wojciech Kostrzewa.
