On 20 October 2025, Creotech Instruments signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Satlantis, a leading European space technology company from Spain specializing in high-resolution optical solutions for the space sector. The agreement was concluded during the Poland–Spain Economic Forum in Bilbao, organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in cooperation with the Embassy of Poland in Madrid, the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, and Basque Trade & Investment.

Under the MoU, both companies will begin joint work on the development of a new generation of very high-resolution Earth observation satellites, integrating electro-optical and thermal imaging technologies, including infrared systems. The cooperation aims to combine the technical, engineering and software capabilities of both partners and strengthen Polish–Spanish collaboration within ESA (European Space Agency) and EU space programmes.

“Cooperation with Satlantis is a strategic step toward building a new generation of European Earth observation satellites. By combining our expertise in satellite platform engineering with Satlantis’s state-of-the-art imaging technologies, we will be able to design innovative systems offering exceptional image resolution — including in the infrared spectrum. This partnership not only strengthens Polish–Spanish collaboration in the space sector but also contributes to Europe’s technological sovereignty. Our ambition is to deliver joint ESA and EU projects, as well as develop breakthrough solutions that will form the basis for future European observation and exploration missions,”
says Dr. Grzegorz Brona, CEO of Creotech Instruments S.A.

Satlantis is a Spain-based international technology company specializing in high-resolution electro-optical payloads for small satellites, primarily for Earth observation. The company designs and manufactures advanced satellite cameras and delivers end-to-end space solutions — from hardware to data processing software and services.

The company is the creator of the innovative iSIM (Integrated Standard Imager for Microsatellites) technology, which enables the installation of advanced imaging systems on microsatellites. Its instruments cover a broad spectral range — PAN, RGB, NIR, SWIR, TIR — and are used in observation, environmental and scientific missions worldwide.

Satlantis operates internationally with offices in Spain, France and the United States.

The signed MoU elevates Polish–Spanish cooperation in the space sector to a new level and opens the door to innovative Earth observation projects of European and global relevance.
