On February 3, 2025, Creotech Instruments, a Polish satellite manufacturer listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Unibap AB, a Swedish producer of onboard computers and cloud solutions for the space sector. The agreement aims to explore the creation of a satellite constellation for select clients in the U.S. and Europe.
The MoU establishes the framework for discussions on integrating Unibap’s iX10-102 space computers with Creotech Instruments’ HyperSat platform to develop a satellite constellation. The first batch of this collaboration would consist of three satellites equipped with advanced hyperspectral solutions. Over time, the constellation is planned to expand with an additional 17 satellites and become fully operational by 2030.
“The integration of the HyperSat platform with Unibap’s advanced space computers is a crucial step toward creating an innovative satellite constellation. I am optimistic that we will reach an agreement quickly and will soon be able to announce the execution of a joint contract to deliver the first three satellites,” commented Dr. Grzegorz Brona, CEO of Creotech Instruments S.A.
Creotech Instruments: A Leader in Polish Satellite Technology
Creotech Instruments specializes in satellite systems and advanced electronics, including applications in quantum technologies. It is the only company in Poland capable of building microsatellites, weighing between 10 kg and several dozen kilograms. A significant milestone for the company was the launch of the test microsatellite EagleEye in 2024, based on Creotech’s proprietary HyperSat platform.
The HyperSat platform enables a variety of missions, including technological, scientific, observational, telecommunication, and deep space missions. Its modular design offers full scalability for satellites ranging from 10 to 60 kg, with plans to support satellites up to 200 kg in the future.
Expanding Horizons in the Space Industry
This partnership represents a strategic opportunity for Creotech Instruments and Unibap AB to deliver innovative satellite solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the space industry. By combining Creotech’s expertise in scalable satellite platforms with Unibap’s cutting-edge onboard computing solutions, the companies aim to create advanced space technology that supports a wide range of applications.
