On March 3, 2025, the District Court in Kraków issued a verdict in a case concerning the activities of an organized crime group associated with the hooligan environment of KS Cracovia. The trial resulted from an indictment filed by the Małopolska branch of the PZ PK and involved 12 defendants, including Magdalena L. (formerly Magdalena K.) and her then-partner, Mariusz Z.
Convictions and Sentences
The court found the defendants guilty of the charges against them, which included drug smuggling and trafficking, assaults, and money laundering. The sentences handed down were as follows:
- Mariusz Z. – as the leader of the group, sentenced to 10 years in prison,
- Magdalena L. – sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison,
- Tomasz Z. – sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison,
- Grzegorz M. – received a 4-year prison sentence, conditionally suspended for a 5-year probation period,
- The remaining defendants received sentences ranging from 1 year and 6 months to 6 years and 6 months in prison.
Additionally, the court imposed fines, restitution orders, and asset forfeitures. In particular, a luxury apartment owned by Mariusz Z. and Magdalena L., parking spaces, and a Mercedes vehicle were confiscated.
Investigation Findings
The court fully accepted the findings of the investigators regarding the criminal activities of the group. According to the collected evidence, the criminals imported at least 5,500 kg of marijuana into Poland, with a black-market value of 88 million PLN, as well as 120 kg of cocaine worth approximately 4.32 million euros. The group also trafficked other substances, including amphetamines, mephedrone, and MDMA. Profits from these illegal activities were invested in luxury real estate, movable assets, and real estate development projects.
Notably, three defendants cooperated with law enforcement and provided extensive testimonies. These were Magdalena L., Tomasz Z., and Grzegorz M. (alias “Pornos”), who is also serving as a crown witness in another case.
Ongoing Legal Proceedings
This verdict does not mark the end of the case. Four additional trials are currently ongoing before the first-instance court, two of which also involve Mariusz Z. Furthermore, the Court of Appeal in Kraków is handling a case concerning the abduction and assault of Patryk P., a former group member who was the first to cooperate with law enforcement.
Additionally, the Małopolska branch of the PZ PK continues to investigate and pursue further members of this organized crime group.
The case remains open and could lead to further convictions.
