LAWCompany controlled by the French government breaches Polish law and exposes Polish State Treasury to major tax losses

The Association for the Fight Against the Grey Zone of Games and Mutual Bets “Play Legally” has submitted an open letter to the French Ambassador in Poland, urging him to take action against the entity operating illegally in Poland, in which the French government has become the dominant shareholder.

– For many years, this company has been conducting illegal online gaming activities in Poland, and now it offers mutual bets to Polish users without permission, until November it also operated an online casino despite the state monopoly, without paying taxes in Poland, without proper protection of users in terms of their personal data and finances. It also exposes the Polish Treasury to multimillion losses resulting from tax evasion in Poland – explains Zdzisław Kostrubała, chairman of the board of the Association for the Fight Against the Grey Zone of Games and Mutual Bets in Poland.

This case concerns the illegal and criminal activities of Kindred Group and its subsidiary Trannel InternaGonal Ltd. Considering the takeover of Kindred by FDJ (the dominant shareholder of the company is the French Republic), which took place in October 2024, it should be emphasized that currently, the French Republic is indeed the beneficiary of the illegal activities of the entity, which deprives the Polish Treasury of tens of millions of zlotys.

– Despite the fact that none of the companies from the Kindered Group is on the list of entities authorized to provide services in the field of mutual betting and gambling via the Internet, available on the website of the Polish Ministry of Finance, Kindered Group has been offering mutual betting services in Poland for at least 5 years. – adds the chairman of the “Play Legally” Association..

In a letter to the French Ambassador in Poland, the association’s authorities ask for an adequate response that will restore respect for the law in the activities of the entity, the dominant shareholder of which is the French Republic. Similar information with a call to take appropriate action has also been sent to the Polish Minister of Finance, Mr. Andrzej Domański, and to the French company FDJ (owner of Kindred Group conducting illegal activities in Poland)
