SPIE Central Europe, a subsidiary of SPIE, an independent European provider of multi-technical services in the energy and communications sectors, has announced the appointment of Cezary Mączka as HR and Corporate Director.
In his new role, Mączka will be responsible for human resources management, administration and oversight of personal data protection matters across a region covering Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, where SPIE employs nearly 4,100 people.
“Cezary Mączka brings to SPIE Central Europe extensive experience gained in large international organisations. At SPIE, we place great importance on building a highly competent management team, as professional leadership is one of the key drivers of the Group’s long-term development,” said Łukasz Nowiński, Managing Director of SPIE Central Europe.
“Human resources plays a particularly important role in this process. It not only supports the development of employees and individual Group companies, but also helps shape the organisational culture and facilitates the achievement of business objectives. I am confident that Cezary’s knowledge and experience will provide valuable support for the continued development of the SPIE Group in Central Europe.”
Mączka began his HR career at General Electric, initially working for GE Power Controls in Łódź. He later became Human Resources Director for Central and Eastern Europe and, from 2006, served as HR Director for GE Audit in the EMEA region and as Global Compensation Director.
He subsequently served as Vice-President of the Management Board of Bank BPH. At EDF Polska, in addition to human resources, he was responsible for the Organisation and Quality Department and the Legal Department.
As a member of the Management Board of Budimex SA, he oversaw human resources management and served on the supervisory boards of Budimex Nieruchomości and FBSerwis.
Since 2023, he has been responsible for developing modern HR structures at Polish privately owned companies, including PGF SA and Wielton Group SA.

Mączka graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Gdańsk and completed postgraduate studies in human resources management at the Norwegian School of Management.
He also holds an MBA from the University of Strathclyde Business School in Glasgow and completed prosecutorial legal training in Poland.
In recognition of his professional achievements, he was named Industry Personality of the Year 2021 by Builder magazine.
