Bartłomiej Krzyżak, who has so far served as Senior Director, has been promoted to the position of Co-Head of the Investment Department. He is a well-known and respected broker with around 18 years of experience in the commercial real estate market.
Krzyżak has developed his professional career at several advisory firms, including CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield and Savills. He has been with Avison Young since 2017, where he is responsible for identifying new investment opportunities, managing property purchase and sale processes, coordinating due diligence procedures and financial analyses.
He has extensive market knowledge and has completed numerous transactions across all sectors. His most recent transaction — representing the buyer in the acquisition of the Royal Wilanów office building in Warsaw — was the largest office sector deal in the first quarter of 2026 and the only one exceeding EUR 100 million.
Marcin Purgal, MRICS, who has also previously served as Senior Director, has been appointed Co-Head of the Investment Department. Purgal is a member of RICS and an experienced director who has been active in the commercial real estate markets in Poland and the CEE region for around 23 years. He gained professional experience at Savills and Knight Frank.
During his career, Purgal has closed many significant transactions on the Polish commercial real estate market, working across all sectors, with a particular focus on the office and retail segments. At Avison Young, he is responsible for advising on and coordinating property purchase and sale processes handled by the investment advisory team. His duties also include maintaining strong client relationships, sourcing new projects and managing transaction processes.
