COMPANIESB-Act opens a branch in Romania

B-Act, a consulting-engineering company listed on NewConnect and specializing in consultancy and construction investment supervision, has opened a branch in Romania. The company has been executing contracts on the local market since 2017, and now aims to acquire new contracts, especially from the defense sector. In Romania, B-Act will operate in a joint venture partnership with the Romanian group of companies, Euro Finance Advisors & Pro Toby. This group has operated in the Romanian and Eastern European market for over 30 years, specializing in consultancy for infrastructure projects.

“The long-standing presence of this group of companies in the region, combined with a deep understanding of local market dynamics, makes them a valuable partner for B-Act in securing new infrastructure contracts. The Euro Finance Advisors group, by managing complex advisory contracts, will significantly enhance B-Act’s competitive advantage, ensuring successful execution of significant projects in Romania and beyond”- says Adam BiaƂachowski, President of the Board of B-Act.

The company’s division is an important step towards consolidating relationships with clients and business in this region. According to the National Institute of Statistics of Romania, investment expenses in the country have been regularly increasing. Net investments in the national economy amounted to 189.34 billion lei in 2023, a growth of 16.6% compared to 2022.

“We have a very positive view of the Romanian market. We have been actively involved in contracts and work carried out in this region for years. This country is undergoing a strong transformation, which means that we can count on demand for our services”- says Adam BiaƂachowski.
“The new branch in Romania is also a step towards strengthening business relations with this region. Romania is somewhat a window to the world for other countries in the region- Moldova or Bulgaria. We also want to focus on contracts for the defense industry, which will strengthen our position”- adds Adam BiaƂachowski.

Last year, Romania’s GDP grew by 2.2%, and forecasts for 2024 and 2025 suggest that the GDP will increase by around 3.2-3.3%. Poland remains a strong trading partner of Romania. B-Act has been carrying out contracts in the Romanian market since 2017. The company gained its first experience through the “Modernization of the water supply, sewage, and water treatment station network in the agglomerations of Vaslui, Barlad, Husi and Negresti” project, in cooperation with Pro Toby, a Romanian company. The branch will be located in Jassy and Bucharest.

“There are many reasons to actively acquire contracts in Romania. This country is located at the strategic intersection of three huge markets: the European Union, the CIS countries, and the Middle East, as well as pan-European transport corridors connecting Europe from west to east and from north to south. Romania also plays a key role in inland transportation on the Danube and is an important link in the trade routes from Asia to Europe, offering an alternative, faster route compared to Rotterdam. Thanks to the increased capacity of the port in Constanta, the largest and deepest port on the Black Sea, and skilled integration of different types of transport, this country greatly reduces the transportation time of goods. We can be present in these key infrastructure projects with our services”- adds Adam BiaƂachowski.

In the recent weeks, B-Act also made a significant move into the Ukrainian market. The company achieved the status of a critically important company. The acquisition of this status by B-Act’s representative office is an important step for the company’s activity on the local market as it ensures operational stability and team availability.

In the first half of this year, B-Act generated sales revenue of 8 million PLN, a year-on-year growth of 30%. EBITDA reached 824,000 PLN, and net profit stood at 582,000 PLN.
