“At Auchan, we consistently pursue a strategy aimed at providing customers with the widest possible selection of products at the best prices. We prioritize high quality and local sourcing — as much as 96% of the assortment in our stores comes from Poland, which not only supports the domestic economy but also responds to growing consumer expectations for healthy and responsible nutrition. We focus on developing our own Auchan brands, especially expanding the range of products under our unique private label ‘Pewni Dobrego,’ which features excellent-quality items from local producers,” says Alexandre Saussard, CEO of Auchan Poland.
In 2024, Auchan continued modernizing its stores to meet contemporary standards and rising customer expectations. Simultaneously, operating in a demanding market environment marked by labor shortages, the company concentrated on optimizing its organizational structure and adapting to gradually reduced retail space. Thanks to these efforts, Auchan maintained price competitiveness while continuing to offer customers top-quality products.
One of the priorities in store modernization remains energy transition — Auchan continues to invest in decarbonization programs and strives to promote low-emission product offerings that support a more sustainable lifestyle. The company steadily strengthens its position in the domestic market by expanding its network of own and franchise stores, particularly in the convenience and supermarket formats. Strategic partnerships supporting this growth are also emphasized. Moreover, Auchan invests intensively in digitalization to fully leverage modern technologies in both day-to-day store operations and delivering enhanced shopping experiences.
Auchan Poland manages a network of 110 own stores: 70 hypermarkets — including three Atac hyper discount stores — 39 supermarkets, and the autonomous Auchan GO store. Additionally, the chain cooperates with 27 franchise stores and 105 convenience stores under the Easy Auchan brand in partnership with bp.
