Amica S.A. Capital Group has announced that it has acquired the rights to use the Sauter brand in the French market. The move strengthens Amica’s presence in one of Western Europe’s key markets and expands its portfolio with a well-known premium brand with more than 120 years of history.

Sauter was founded in 1902 in Alsace by Frédéric Sauter. Over the decades, the brand has built a strong position in France, becoming associated with quality, innovation and design, particularly in the cooking-appliance segment.

In the 1990s, the company was among the pioneers of induction technology in Europe. Induction cooking has since become increasingly popular across many European markets. Sauter has retained its reputation for innovation and remains one of the most respected household-appliance brands in France, especially in kitchen and cooking products.

The brand specialises in built-in appliances, including ovens, hobs, cooker hoods and freestanding cookers. Its products are designed to combine modern styling, intuitive operation and advanced functionality.

“The acquisition of the rights to use the Sauter brand in France is an important step in implementing our strategy of further internationalisation and strengthening Amica’s position in Western Europe,” said Maja Rutkowska, Vice-President of the Management Board of Amica S.A. responsible for the French market.

“Sauter is a brand with exceptional heritage, deeply rooted in French culinary culture. We want to build value for customers by developing innovative products tailored to their needs.”

Building on a premium French brand

Thanks to its history and focus on quality and functionality, Sauter is particularly valued by customers seeking reliable and durable premium solutions.

According to the company, reviews from users indicate that Sauter products are highly rated for durability, ease of use and aesthetics that suit both modern and traditional interiors.

“Including the Sauter brand in our portfolio in France is a strategic decision that will allow us to respond even better to the needs of local consumers,” said Robert Stobiński, President of the Management Board of Amica S.A.

“We are combining Amica’s strength and experience with the reputation and heritage of one of France’s most recognisable household-appliance brands. We believe this step will support the continued dynamic development of our business in France. We are proud to continue this tradition while keeping Sauter production in Europe.”

The acquisition of the rights to use the Sauter brand forms part of Amica’s long-term strategy of expanding through strong, locally established brands and systematically strengthening its position in the cooking-appliance segment, including built-in kitchen equipment.

Through the transaction, Amica plans to expand its presence in the demanding French market by offering products designed to meet growing consumer expectations for quality, innovation and energy efficiency.
