Senior AI Solutions Architects can earn as much as PLN 50,000 gross per month in Poland, according to a new salary report from recruitment agency Devire. Lead and Principal AI Engineers can earn up to PLN 45,000 a month, while senior LLM Engineers can expect salaries of up to PLN 42,000 gross.

At the same time, the number of job advertisements in Poland linked to AI-related roles and skills has increased by more than 2,000% over the past two years.

Devire has published its first AI Salary Report, focused exclusively on artificial intelligence-related positions. Based on 400 recruitment processes conducted over the past year, the report covers three main areas: technical AI roles in AI and machine learning engineering and data science; generative AI and large language models; and AI architecture and infrastructure, including the design and scaling of AI systems.

From ChatGPT Curiosity to a Major Recruitment Market

When ChatGPT began entering the mainstream in 2023, relatively few employers regarded AI-related skills as a core business capability. The situation has changed dramatically.

Data from Poland’s largest recruitment platforms—Just Join IT, No Fluff Jobs and Pracuj.pl—show that the number of job advertisements containing AI-related terms in their titles or descriptions rose from only a handful in 2023 to around 200–300 per month in 2025. This represents growth of more than 2,000% in just two years.

Companies operating in Poland are increasingly building their own AI teams and looking for professionals who can not only develop models, but also implement them in real business processes.

PwC’s The Fearless Future: PwC 2025 Global AI Jobs Barometer shows that employees with AI skills earn, on average, 56% more than comparable workers without such capabilities. Importantly, the AI wage premium more than doubled within a year: the previous edition of the report, published in 2024, put it at 25%.

LLM Engineers and AI Agent Developers Lead the New Talent Race

Some of the highest salary ranges in Devire’s report are found in generative AI roles.

An LLM Engineer, responsible for designing, fine-tuning and deploying large language models, can earn between PLN 15,000 and PLN 42,000 gross per month under an employment contract. AI Agent Developers can expect salaries ranging from PLN 15,000 to PLN 37,000 gross per month.

B2B contract rates are equally striking. A senior LLM Engineer working on an hourly basis can earn PLN 180–250 net per hour. The best-paid role across the full AI spectrum, however, is the AI Solutions Architect. B2B rates in this position can reach PLN 300 net per hour, while employment-contract salaries can rise to PLN 50,000 gross per month.

Strong Salaries Also in Traditional AI and Machine Learning

High pay is not limited to generative AI.

Within AI, machine learning engineering and data science, a senior AI Engineer can earn approximately PLN 25,000–35,000 gross per month under an employment contract. At Lead or Principal level, the range rises to PLN 32,000–45,000.

A Senior Machine Learning Engineer can earn PLN 23,000–33,000 gross per month on an employment contract, with salaries reaching up to PLN 42,000 at Lead level. Even junior professionals can begin at PLN 10,000–15,000 per month, placing entry-level AI salaries above the median pay level in Poland’s IT sector.

New Roles Create New Pay Benchmarks

Devire also assessed relatively new positions, including the AI Prompt Developer—a specialist responsible for designing and optimising prompts for AI models.

Salary ranges for junior AI Prompt Developers begin at PLN 13,000 gross per month under an employment contract. At senior level, AI Prompt Developers can earn PLN 160–190 net per hour on a B2B contract or PLN 28,000–32,000 gross per month under an employment contract.

“For years, we have published IT Salary Reports that have attracted significant interest. This time, we decided to separate AI as an independent category because our recruitment data show that it is no longer simply part of a broader market, but a standalone and rapidly growing segment.

“We wanted to provide the market with hard data that make it possible to assess where AI stands today and where it is heading,” says Adam Ajtner, Strategic Relationship Manager at Devire.

The data underline how quickly artificial intelligence has moved from a niche technical specialisation to a core hiring priority. Companies are increasingly competing for professionals who can turn AI tools, models and infrastructure into practical business value—and the salary levels now reflect that demand.
