AI/ML Salaries Reach Record Highs: Up to PLN 100,000 on B2B Contracts

CAREERSAI/ML Salaries Reach Record Highs: Up to PLN 100,000 on B2B Contracts

110,996 job postings – that’s how many IT job offers were published on the justjoin.it platform in 2025. This represents an increase of 8.42% year on year compared with 2024. Last year therefore marked a period of stabilization after two consecutive years of sharp declines. 62.5% of developers reported salary increases, while only 5.8% experienced pay cuts.

According to the report “What About That Eldorado?”, 2022 was a record-breaking year for the IT job market. A total of 175,610 job ads were posted on justjoin.it, which was 182% more than a year earlier. The following two years were much weaker: in 2023, the number of listings fell to 129,836 (–26% y/y), and in 2024 to 99,363 (–23.5% y/y). Although last year’s result (almost 111,000 offers) was clearly better, it still remained far below the record level of 2022.

“In 2022, real wages were also around 20–30% higher in some of the most popular categories. The market looks completely different today. It has reached a certain equilibrium, from which it can grow steadily at around 10% year on year – and that is probably the ceiling,”
says Piotr Nowosielski, CEO of job portals justjoin.it and rocketjobs.pl, in a comment to Newseria.

Experts emphasize that last year’s stabilization may indicate that the market has matured. The era of easy money and mass hiring has come to an end. Employers have become more selective, while still actively seeking highly qualified candidates. Competition for jobs is higher than in 2021–2022, but remains far from crisis conditions.

2025 brought positive news for employees. Two-thirds of IT specialists reported pay increases, while only 5.8% saw their earnings decline. Among those who received raises, the most common increases were 6–10% (29% of specialists) and 1–5% (26%). The biggest gains were recorded by senior employees on permanent contracts (+7.87%) and mid-level specialists on B2B contracts (+8%).

“So we can talk about stable year-on-year wage growth. By far the strongest growth can be seen in AI and machine learning, where salaries rose by at least 15% year on year,”
Piotr Nowosielski stresses.

Among the best-paid roles in IT were artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) positions. Average pay amounted to PLN 16,400 on employment contracts and PLN 19,500 on B2B contracts. What sets this category apart are the maximum offered ratesPLN 75,000 on employment contracts and a record PLN 99,489 on B2B. AI/ML also recorded the strongest growth in job postings, with its share of all listings rising from 1.01% in 2024 to 4.74% in 2025.

Java specialists also enjoyed strong earnings. Average salaries stood at PLN 15,950 on employment contracts and PLN 18,774 on B2B, while maximum rates reached PLN 80,000 and PLN 54,600, respectively. According to the report, security-related roles accounted for 2.75% of all job offers, with average salaries of PLN 16,250 on employment contracts and PLN 20,465 on B2B – the third-highest average B2B pay in the entire industry.

“Cybersecurity may not be the largest segment of the market, but we are seeing a significant increase in the number of job offers,”
notes the CEO of justjoin.it and rocketjobs.pl.
“It’s not on the scale of the most popular categories – data, which for the first time in history has taken the lead, accounting for 11% of all job listings. Next comes JavaScript with around 9%, followed by the ever-popular Java. Specialists in these technologies can expect the most competitive salaries. We anticipate that the strongest pay growth this year will occur in cybersecurity, given what is happening in the cyber warfare domain.”

The IT labor market also remained stable in terms of seniority structure. Seniors continued to dominate, with 51.48% of all job ads targeting them. Mid-level specialists accounted for 43.73%, while juniors made up just 4.79% of listings – figures very similar to those recorded in 2024.

In 2025, junior developers earned an average of PLN 9,020 net on B2B contracts and PLN 8,000 gross on employment contracts. This was significantly less than mid-level specialists, who earned around PLN 18,900 on B2B and PLN 15,000 on employment contracts. Senior specialists earned on average PLN 24,780 on B2B and PLN 21,573 on employment contracts.

“Realistically, we expect salary growth of up to 10% at most. 2025 was a stronger rebound, when many companies finally decided on more substantial raises after two fairly lean years. This year, however, pressure for wage growth will be lower,”
concludes Piotr Nowosielski.
