Adam Męciński will become Brand General Manager of GAC Poland on 15 September 2026. The automotive executive brings more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, brand management and dealer-network development. During his career he has worked on the development of Mitsubishi, Opel, Jeep and Leapmotor in the Polish market.

GAC Poland is strengthening its management structure as the Chinese brand expands its presence in the country. Męciński will take over responsibility for the next stage of development, including sales, dealer-network growth and market positioning.

More than two decades in the automotive sector

Męciński began his career in Sales and Logistics at Mitsubishi Motors Poland, later holding a number of management roles in sales and marketing. From May 2015 to January 2020 he served as sales director and a member of the company’s Management Advisory Committee.

In March 2021 he joined Stellantis Poland as Opel Brand Director, responsible for sales and marketing strategy as well as improving key business indicators. In 2023 he became Sales Mainstream Director, overseeing sales performance for eight Stellantis brands in Poland. From June 2023 he led Jeep in Poland, with responsibility for product strategy, sales, marketing and cooperation with the dealer network.

A particularly relevant part of his background was his work on Leapmotor. In 2025 he took responsibility for the Chinese brand’s launch in Poland, including long-term strategy, dealer-network development, sales, marketing, aftersales and electromobility.

GAC plans further expansion in Poland

Męciński’s appointment comes as GAC continues to expand its model range, develop its authorised dealer network and strengthen its position in Europe.

‘GAC is a brand with significant potential and has built solid foundations for further growth in Poland in a relatively short time. A portfolio covering electric, hybrid and combustion-engine vehicles allows us to address different customer groups and creates room to strengthen the brand’s market position further. I want to use my experience to work with the GAC team on the next stages of development in Poland,’ Męciński says.

‘Adam knows how to build a market position and translate it into measurable business results. He has first-hand experience of successfully launching a Chinese automotive brand in Poland and winning customer trust. GAC is consistently broadening its portfolio and has significant opportunities ahead,’ says Marcin Słomkowski, Managing Director of Jameel Motors.

GAC’s current Polish range includes the electric AION V and AION UT, the hybrid EMKOO and the combustion-engine EMZOOM SUV. The company is also expanding in Europe, including local assembly of AION V and AION UT models at Magna’s Graz plant and operations at its European R&D centre in Milan.

Męciński’s experience in managing international automotive brands, developing dealer networks and launching new brands in Poland is expected to support GAC’s further expansion. He takes up the role on 15 September 2026.
